Taming a daunting database for job recruitment
U.K.-based IT and technical recruitment Web site Technojobs sought a software solution to help manage its large database. The company was looking for document viewer technology to allow its recruiters to review and highlight particular skill sets among the 5,000 specialist candidates it has on file. It also wanted to be able to open various types of file formats and convert dated versions of software, regardless of the country of origin.
After a thorough search, Technojobs chose Accusoft Prizm Content Connect document viewer to provide its recruiters with the ability to manage the candidate database more effectively.
Anthony Sherick, managing director of Technojobs, says, “Prizm Content Connect’s ability to convert multiple types of files was the biggest sell in finding a service that worked for our company. It makes it easy for recruiters to view resumes that are in different versions of Microsoft Word, Rich Text documents and other file formats.”
Before implementing the new solution, Technojobs’ recruiters would have to download each file to view individually—a time-consuming process that also risked mismatching a resume with a candidate profile. The old system also slowed computer processes, resulted in document clutter and could possibly compromise a candidate’s sensitive information.
According to Accusoft, with Prizm Content Connect, Technojobs’ recruiters now can easily view resumes in various file formats, from archived versions of Microsoft Word to Rich Text file formats and Adobe PDF files. Recruiters also use other features of Prizm Content Connect for smarter decision-making and candidate selection, including the document viewer’s ability to highlight text and parse keyword search terms within resumes, Accusoft says.
