Ran Hock

Ran Hock, through his one-person company, Online Strategies, creates and presents seminars and workshops teaching people how to use the Internet more efficiently and effectively. In conjunction with this, he writes about the Internet, with seven books published and a variety of articles appearing regularly. Over his career, he has created courses on using the web for professional associations, government agencies and ministries, international organizations, schools, libraries, and companies, and trained over 14,000 online users in 13 countries. He is the author of The Extreme Searcher's Guide to Web Search Engines  (1999, 2001), The Extreme Searcher's Internet Handbook (2004, 2007, 2010, 2013), Yahoo! to the Max(2005), and The Travelers Web (2007), and has been a frequent contributor and columnist for professional journals, including ONLINEThe CyberSkeptic's Guide to Internet Research and Information Advisor.
