KM races to adapt, adopt, and acquire in the evolving AI era
The race is on. Ever since OpenAI introduced ChatGPT in November 2022, companies have been racing to develop new generative AI (GenAI) tools for every conceivable use case. Not all of them pertain to KM, of course, but many of them do. Knowledge managers face challenges when trying to ascertain which of the many tools, seemingly being introduced on a daily basis, should be added to their toolbox. They struggle with understanding the implications of AI for their specific purposes. What current practices need to change to adapt to the new state of play? Which tools should be adopted for use within their individual environment? What products and services should be acquired to move forward with effective KM practices and policies?
